Swagbucks Review (From Actual User) + My Payment Proof!

I’ve been using Swagbucks for awhile now and I think I should do a little review on it. This is the most popular GPT (get-paid-to) site on the internet, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re the best.

As a GPT site, Swagbucks offers all the earning opportunities you’d expect, such as surveys, offers, games, videos, and a bunch of other stuff. People new to these sorts of sites may be thinking, “Is Swagbucks a scam or legit?” Because this all sounds too easy, right?

Well, keep on reading. In this Swagbucks review I’m going to go over how it all works, how much you can earn, how you get paid, and also show you screenshots of the payments I’ve received from them.

Name: Swagbucks
Website: swagbucks.com
Type: GPT (get-paid-to) site

My Rating:  4.2 out of 5

Swagbucks started up in 2008 and has since gained an excellent reputation in the online world as a great “beer money” site.

Let me first start this review by saying that they ARE legit, they’re not a scam. If you earn money on Swagbucks, they will pay you, they’re not going to steal your money. I’ve been paid many times before (see my payment proof later on in this review) and so have others.

It’s definitely possible to earn some extra income consistently at Swagbucks, however, depending on  your goals, it may or may not be what you’re looking for.

How does it work?

GPT sites all work the same way, basically you go on the site and perform  various simple tasks like taking surveys, watching videos, searching the web, etc. and by doing so you will be rewarded with a digital currency which they call “Swagbucks,” think of it as points.

For your reference, every Swagbucks is worth $0.01 USD, so if you earn 100 Swagbucks then that’s $1.00 USD.

Once you’ve accumulated a certain amount of Swagbucks you can then cash out and turn it into real prizes like Amazon gift cards and even real cash via PayPal.

There are a bunch of ways for you to earn Swagbucks which I’ll briefly go over below.

10 Ways To Earn Swagbucks

1. Filling out profile questions:

When you first join you’ll want to fill out your profile, these demographic and lifestyle habits questions help them give you targeted surveys.

Every 10 questions you answer earn you 2 Swagbucks ($0.02), this is great because many other survey sites don’t give you anything for filling out your profile, but Swagbucks does!

2. Completing Surveys:

Surveys are a great way to earn points. Surveys typically take 10-20 minutes to complete and will reward you with about 25 to 250 Swagbucks ($0.25 to $2.50) after you complete them.

The tricky part though is that you need to qualify for the survey, and surveys that pay out a lot of points are difficult to qualify for. Whether you qualify for it or not depends on your profile, location, and a bunch of other factors.

Good thing is Swagbucks do pay you $0.01 if you get screened out, so you don’t leave empty handed. This is something most other survey sites don’t do.

There are many sections to take surveys on Swagbucks, the Gold Surveys section is very popular:

3. Doing Offers:

Offers are where you are paid to sign up for a website, free trial, download an app, or something else along those lines.

There are both free and paid offers. Free offers typically require you fill in a sign up form with your name, email, birthday, and some other info. They are easy money and the pay isn’t bad, usually in the range of $0.25 to $3.

Paid offers may require you spend money to make a purchase, such as making a deposit on a gambling website.

There are also a lot of free trials you can sign up for which requires a credit card, these are technically free as long as you remember to cancel before your card gets charged. Paid offers pay around $2 to $10+. Generally the more financial involvement on your part the higher the pay.

4. Searching The Web:

There is a search bar on your Swagbucks dashboard, instead of going to google, yahoo, bing, or wherever you normally go to search for things, you use the Swagbucks search bar instead.

If you’re someone who use the search engines a lot on a daily basis, you can earn around 10-25 points ($0.10 to $0.25) per day.

5. Watching Content:

If you’re like me and you love watching random things on the internet, you will like this. You can earn points by watching videos or visiting websites in various categories.

For example, just click on one of those boxes and you’ll land on a website, view the content for about 30 seconds to earn up to 2 Swagbucks.

6. Playing Games:

There are 2 ways to earn playing games.

The first one is part of their offers section, you have to download a mobile game and play it until you reach a certain level, these ones actually pay pretty good, you can earn $20+ per game, but it may take a lot of time to complete their requirements:

install and reach a certain level

The second one is free games you can play on PC or mobile. They said you can earn up to 10 Swagbucks, but personally I played these games and never managed to earn anything. They don’t specify when and what you have to do to earn.

7. Daily Poll:

Everyday there is a poll you can answer for a quick 1SB ($0.01), super-easy, and it’s just a simple multiple choice question:

8. Submitting Receipts:

This is a super-easy way to earn a few Swagbucks.

When you go grocery shopping just save your receipts, each receipt earns you 5SB ($0.05), online purchases earn you 2SB ($0.02), and all you have to do is take a picture of it and upload it to Swagbucks.

9. Earning Cash Back:

Cash back is basically where you shop online and receive a portion of the money you spent back to you.

Swagbucks have a bunch of different stores that you can choose to shop from, and if you spend lets say $50 at Amazon, you can earn about 150 swag bucks after you’ve made your purchase, which translate to about 3% cash back.

But you have to shop by going to the Amazon store from the link Swagbucks provides or it won’t track properly.

10. Referring Friends:

Swagbucks gives you a referral link you can send to your friends and other people you know. If they join through your link and earn swag bucks, you will receive 10% of whatever they earn with no limits.

If you want, you can sign up through my referral link, thanks for your support!

Once you have accumulated a certain amount of Swagbucks you can then redeem them for rewards, there are many options, including gift cards and cash through PayPal.

The minimum payout threshold is pretty low, the exact amount varies depending on what you redeem them for:
